What is the v1 prototype & the early adopter priority?

1) V1 Prototype: The V1 (Version 1) is the very first version of a product — in this case, the first version of the Skillr Shuff-L Socks

 

All our first versions (V1) are sold as prototypes.

 

After your purchase, we’ll send you a short questionnaire about materials, fit, colors, and improvements you’d like to see.

 

We then reinvest every cent into developing the next version (V2), getting closer each time to the perfect standard for the product.

2) Early Adopter Priority: Every release has limited stock. To make it fair, we use a permanent queue based on when you joined.

 

When a new version launches, we don’t open the shop to everyone at the same time.


We open it in waves:

 

- First → V1 owners
- Second → V2 owners
- Third → V3, V4... (respectively)
- Last → everyone else (if stock remains)

Behind the name

The socks, called Skillr V1 Shuff-L Socks, are inspired by the legendary Muhammad Ali's ‘Ali Shuffle’ move. This mesmerising move conveys a sense of control that we want to reflect in this product. The name is written separately (Shuff - L) but when pronounced it sounds phonetically the same as 'shuffle'.
